According to the Local Tax Bureau of the Taichung City Government, in order to provide more convenient tax payment services, since September 16th this year, tax payments made via a credit card not under the name of the tax payer is now acceptable. Additionally, mobile payment tools are acceptable for more tax payment items.
The Local Tax Bureau pointed out that at present except for stamp tax payments or large sum and amusement taxes that shall be declared online by tax payers and paid via credit cards held by the tax payers or representatives of profit making businesses, the rest charged (approved) tax amounts, fines, additional amounts for tax avoidance cases and deposits during a period not expired can be paid via credit cards not under the name of tax payers.
Furthermore, mobile payment tools are acceptable for more tax payment items Including vehicle license plate tax, house tax and land tax during the tax paying period as well as value added tax of land, tax for acquisition of real estate and tax violation fines.
