Citizens in Tax Arrears Who Are Facing Compulsory Execution but Have Encountered Difficulties in Paying Their Taxes May Apply for Payment in Installments

(Taichung News) According to the Taichung City Local Tax Bureau, if taxpayers with tax arrears are facing compulsory execution by the Taichung Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice but unable to pay the tax arrears in one lump-sum payment due to financial difficulties and major loss of properties caused by natural disasters or incidents, they may file an application to the branch administrative enforcement agency for payment in installments.
The Local Tax Bureau suggested that according to the regulations of Practice Essentials for the Approval of Installments Amounts by the Administrative Enforcement Events , taxpayers applying for installment payment must produce the relevant documents to prove that they are unable to pay off the tax arrears in one lump-sum payment. Taichung Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice will take the taxpayers' circumstances into consideration and approve the installment payment based on its authority, application of the taxpayer, and consent from the referring authority
The Local Tax Bureau would like to remind the taxpayers that tax arrears that have been approved for installment payment will be terminated by the Taichung Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice if the installments are not paid before the deadline, and the taxpayers will be requested to pay the tax arrears in one lump-sum.
