Taichung’s Local Tax Bureau indicated that the land tax statements for 2013 would be distributed starting November 11th. All tax payers should verify the name, tax ID, land tax number and area upon receiving the statement and submit payment by November 30th (which has been extended to December 2nd due to the weekend).
The Bureau expressed that numerous channels for payment are available, including collection transfer agencies, 7-11, Family Mart, Hi-Life, OK convenient stores, ATMs, e-banking, and voice-mail transfer.
Land tax is calculated based on the total land value within the same city/county of the owner; therefore the tax payer will only receive one tax statement for all of his/her properties within one city/county. Those who do not receive their statement can apply for re-issuance by calling the hotline at 02-27455880 or can download their statement through “Taichung e-Tax APP” or the eTax Portal website(http://www.etax.nat.gov.tw) or the Bureau website (http://www.tax.taichung.gov.tw /).
