(Taichung) The Local Tax Bureau of the Taichung City Government launched the personally designated QR Code scanning to affix refund account services to save the trouble of keying in several entries of information and to provide simply and easy tax refund services.
According to the Bureau, it always insists to provide convenient tax refund services and "active process" and "direct returns to accounts" are its priority. After praises from the public were received for online direct tax refund transmission launched last year, this year, the Bureau is providing personally designated QR Code customized services. When a tax payer pays twice or pays with an excess tax amount and he/she does not have a designated account for tax returns, the Bureau will automatically mail a direct tax return consultation notice and letter for affixing. The tax payer only needs to scan the designated QR Code on top of the notice and letter for affixing, and after a bank account information is provided, the amount of tax returns will be directly wired to the account. No extra procedure needs to be taken.
The Bureau reminded the public to reply within the requested time after receiving the "notice and letter of affixing;" no waiting for tax returns is required and applications are easy!
