The Taichung City Government Local Tax Bureau has said that, in order to keep the city’s residents up to date on the latest tax information and the right knowledge about taxes, from 9.00 to 12.00 on Friday the 8th June the bureau’s Shalu branch will be holding an event called ‘Tax Madness and the Joy of Food’ aimed at promoting use of the Unified Tax Invoice.

Well-known food vendors such as Yu Jan Shin, Kobayashi, Lin Chin-Sheng Pastry Sho p, KFC, Vedan and Chia Hfa have been invited to take part in the event and will be setting up their own stalls. In addition, spectacular performances will be held on the stage that will be interspersed with tax quizzes and prize draws. Prizes include a 42-inch LCD TV, 95L refrigerator, bicycles, small pastry boxes, thermos flasks…it truly is an event not to be missed!

The bureau has also said that during the event, if city residents go to the service desk to submit 5 no-limit tax invoices for May and June 2013 these can be exchanged for meal vouchers. Vouchers can be swapped for a meat rice dumpling, grass cake or ice cream. There’s a limited amount of vouchers and the promotion will end once they have all been exchanged (each person will be given one voucher). In addition to the delicious food, tax guidance stalls will also be set up to help participants learn more about taxes. An event called ‘submit your tax invoice and spread the love’ will also be held, in which participants only have to submit tax invoices for May and June to be eligible for a ‘tax game’ in which everyone can team up and take part.
