The Local Tax Bureau of Taichung City Government initiated the first online application in the country to fully interface with the "MyData Platform" of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. After verifying identity and consenting through the TW-Fido, people connect to the official website with a mobile phone or tablet computer to easily apply for it.
Zheng-An Shen, Director of the Local Tax Bureau, stated that the bureau pioneered the "Taichung Taxation e-Pass" APP in 2012 to respond to the popularization of mobile devices. Expanding digital services this year, the government has set up an official website to apply for MyData online. It can provide re-issuance of payment statements and certificates, applications for land value tax for self-use residential land, etc., 46 items that the public often fill out and submit tax cases, fully connecting with the MyData platform of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. People agree to verify their identity with the TW-Fido, and the required documents will be transmitted to the local tax bureau immediately. People do not need to attach any documents and information.

Director Shen further explained that the bureau's online application for MyData has strengthened functions such as mobile verification, attachment upload, online supplementation, online signature, progress query, and SMS notification, considerably improving the convenience of online applications. Therefore, the "Taichung Taxation e-Pass" app will be discontinued from June 1st and taken off the shelves on June 15th (only progress queries will provide from June 1st to June 14th).
