Home Delivery Service of Quick Re-issuing of Bills for Payment of Land Value Tax via Online Video Applications

(Taichung) According to the Taichung City Local Tax Bureau, the period to pay for the 2020 Land Value Tax began from November 1st to November 30th and taxpayers were reminded to make their payments on time to avoid being fined with overdue penalties. If taxpayers did not receive the bills for Land Value Tax Payment, they can directly apply for a "Home Delivery Service of Quick Re-issuing of Bills for Payment of Land Value Tax via Online Video Application" and scan the QR Code to make their payment and save paper.
   According to the Bureau, taxpayers do not need to go out and use certificates and within 10 minutes, they will be able to receive their bills to make tax payment as long as they are owners of houses, lands or vehicles join Line (ID: taichungtax2) or Skype (search Customer Service Center of the Taichung City Local Tax Bureau) account. Taxpayers can during the office hours (8:00-12:00 & 13:00-17:00) use the video function of LINE or Skype to have bills for of Land Value Tax Payment and Payment Certificate of the current period (available one week after the payment is made).
  The Bureau further explained that the service personnel of the Bureau will take audio and video recordings during the application procedure. After confirming the identity of the applicant, the system will send a verification letter to the email box of the applicant. After being confirmed by the applicant, within two minutes, he/she will receive the reissued bill. The whole process will take about ten minutes. The Bureau reminded taxpayers to confirm the verification before 21:00 on the application day to obtain encrypted tax documents or they will have to re-apply.
