The Local Tax Bureau of the Taichung City Government Constructs Taiwan's First Online Video Application System for Re-issuing Tax Payment Sheets in Ten Minutes

According to the Local Tax Bureau of the Taichung City Government, along with the popularity of mobile devices and the increasing Internet access rate, the Bureau led other agencies to introduce the innovative service measure - the online video application system for re-issuing tax payment sheets that allows the public to receive a sheet of tax payment or payment proof within ten minutes without going out or using a natural person's certificate.
The Bureau said that for as long as an owner of a house, land or vehicle joins the LINE Group of the Bureau (ID:taichungtax2) or the connection of Skype (search: telephone number of Customer Service Center of the Local Tax Bureau of the Taichung City Government), he/she then can then make use of the video-conferencing function of LINE or Skype during office hours (8:00-12:00 in the morning and 1:00-5:00 in the afternoon from Monday to Friday) to apply for re-issuing house tax and land tax payment proofs as well as payment sheets of current license plates, house taxes and land taxes during the tax collection term.
The Bureau further explained that its staff during the video-conferencing will conduct both audio and video recordings. After recognizing the applicant's identity, the system will send a letter of verification to the email of the applicant. After being confirmed by the applicant, within two minutes, the applicant will receive a re-issued sheet of tax payment or payment proof. The entire process will take only ten minutes. The Bureau also reminds the public that confirmation shall be made before 21:00 on the day when an application is filed in order to obtain an encrypted tax document and re-application is required for late confirmation exceeding the time limit. The public can make the best use of the system and for any questions, please call the toll free telephone number at 0800-000321 or 04-22585000 and press 1 for customer services. Callers will be then served by the designated personnel.
