(Taichung News) In order to provide the citizens with a more convenient tax refund method, Taichung City Local Tax Bureau is vigorously promoting tax refund via remittance to a pre-designated account, the citizens only need to apply to have the tax refund remitted to a bank account of their choice to enjoy the most convenient direct deposit tax refund service.
According to the Taichung City Local Tax Bureau, paying taxes is a constitutional obligation and tax refund is the citizens' right. If the bureau discovers that taxpayers have double paid or overpaid their taxes, the excess amount will be refunded automatically without the need for the taxpayers to make an application. The bureau is also aware that due to the busy, fast-paced nature of the modern lifestyle, tax refund checks will cause a great deal of inconvenience for those without a pre-designated tax refund account, therefore for double paid or overpaid taxes, the bureau will mail a Tax Refund Direct Deposit Notice before the tax refund. Upon receiving the notice, all the taxpayers have to do is fill in their bank account number, repost the mail via business reply mail on the reverse side or fax the notice to enjoy the convenient, high-quality tax refund service.
The bureau would like to remind the citizens to respond within the deadline after receiving the Tax Refund Direct Deposit Notice. Failure to do so will affect their right to tax refunds, which will be sent to the taxpayers in the form of a check.
