Please Remember to Renew Tax Bill Delivery Address after Altering Residency

The Taichung City Government Local Tax Bureau stated that when people change their residence address, they can apply for a change of tax bill delivery address simultaneously at the household registration office; or apply for correction of address by phone, paper or on the bureau site. The bureau will deliver the tax bill accordingly to the new address.
The Tax Bureau pointed out that during the annual land tax levy, people often report about not receiving tax bills. After investigation, it was often found that people register for property rights when purchasing real estate with residence address at the time. When moving to the new address, tax bills cannot be received according to schedule because the delivery address was not renewed, resulting in hassles to both parties. The Bureau reminds the public that if residency were relocated or changed, please apply to the Tax Bureau immediately for correction.
