Ways to Make Obligatory Tax Payments

When a taxpayer receives an obligatory tax payment notice from the relevant Branch Office of Administrative Enforcement Agency under the Ministry of Justice, he/she can make the obligatory tax payments by the following ways:
1. Within the designated time period, he/she can bring the bar-coded notice to pay at one of the 4 convenience stores (namely 7-11, Family Mart, OK Mart and Hi-life), if the total amount is less than NT$ 20,000. No handling fee will be charged.
2. Take the obligatory tax payment notice to and pay at the Administrative Enforcement Agency which issues the notice or bring the notice to any branch office of the Local Tax Bureau to apply for a payment slip and then pay at any financial institution.
3. Buy a money order from the post office at the amount stipulated on the obligatory payment notice, fill in the name of the relevant Administrative Enforcement Agency as the beneficiary, and then send the money order by registered mail to the Administrative Enforcement Agency.

Local Tax Bureau reminds the taxpayer not to ignore the obligatory tax payment notice from the Administrative Enforcement Agency but pay it within the time limit, instead; otherwise, the Administrative Enforcement Agency will issue a seizure order, asking the bank to deduct his/her deposits at the bank or asking his/her employer to deduct his/her wages, or confiscating his/her property for auction.
