Porcelain Painting Exhibition at Wenxin Gallery

Wenxin Gallery of Local Tax Bureau (Address: Floor 7, No 99, Sec 2, Wenxin Road) will feature “Joint Porcelain Painting Exhibition of Tsai Xiu-mei (蔡秀美), Lin Jun-you (林俊佑), Wen Cui-ju (溫翠菊), Tsaihe Zhong-an (蔡賀仲安), and Huang Qun-lin (黃群琳)” in December 2014. This exhibition is open to the public from 8:00 to 17:00 every day between December 1 and December 30 (except weekends and national holidays). Everyone is welcome to appreciate the artworks.

Porcelain painting is a very fine decorative art. To paint on the glazed porcelains, we need to use oil or water as a medium to blend different pigment powders and then brush them onto porcelain plates according to design. As different pigments require different temperatures to be ingrained on the porcelains, it takes a few rounds of firing in the oven at relatively low temperature to complete a piece of work. Thus, every hand-painted porcelain is full of its creator’s ingenuity and years of practice.

Painted porcelain works can be used as utensils in everyday life, such as tea cups, saucers, table wares, and even decoration frame for wall clocks. They always show the artistic taste of their owners. The Local Tax Bureau sincerely invites you to join us at the Wenxin Gallery to appreciate their artworks and show your support for the exhibitors. If you have any question, please call 0800-086969 (toll-free) or 04-22585000 ext. 1 for the call center.
