2014 House Tax will be levied between May 1, 2014 and June 3, 2014. The deadline is postponed for three more days because the normal deadline of May 31 falls on Saturday this year. The House Tax bill has been sent to each taxpayer, who is urged to pay the tax within the deadline to avoid overdue fines, said the Local Tax Bureau.

The 2014 House Tax is levied for the period between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014. A taxpayer who has any doubt about the House Tax or has not yet received the tax bill please make inquiry to or apply for a replacement bill to the branch office of Local Tax Bureau in charge of his or her house tax matters.

Local Tax Bureau pointed out further that to make it easy for a taxpayer to pay taxes, a number of payment mechanisms are offered. For example, you can pay by cash at a convenience store; you can pay by credit card or chip debit card on the Internet; or you can transfer the tax by automatic teller machines (ATM) or a saving account of your bank.

Local Tax Bureau of Taichung City Government reminds the taxpayer who has contracted a financial institution or the postal agency to transfer the house tax by his or her deposit account to put aside sufficient amount of money in his or her account before May 31, 2014, the deadline for paying house tax.
