Citizens Urged to Pay Tax in Arrears

Local Tax Bureau of Taichung City Government is about to send notice to those taxpayers who have not yet paid their house tax, land value tax, and license plate tax for year 2013 and before.

Local Tax Bureau explained further that if you have a house and land located in Taichung or your vehicle is registered in Taichung but have not yet paid the house tax, land value tax, and license plate tax in 2013 and prior years, please pay attention to the tax replacement bill that Local Tax Bureau is about to send and pay the concerned tax at a financial institution or convenience store within the time limit accordingly. If you have the above-mentioned tax in arrears and do not receive the replacement tax bill or lose it, please call phone #0800-086969, or visit the website at http://www.tax.taichung.gov.tw or e-Taichung Tax (APP application program) or the Local Tax Bureau or its branch of your jurisdiction to apply for a replacement tax bill.

Local Tax Bureau reminds taxpayers to pay tax according to the tax law. A delinquent fee at the rate of 1 percent shall be levied for overdue payment for every two days.If the tax payment is overdue for more than 30 days, the taxpayer will be charged 15% of delinquent fee and transferred to the Administrative Enforcement Agency for enforcement.
