Citizens Visiting Taichung City Local Tax Bureau for Official Business Must Wear Surgical Masks and Register Their Names

Taichung News: In light of the rapidly escalating global COVID-19 outbreak and to minimize the risk of community-acquired infections, as of March 16, the Taichung City Local Tax Bureau (LTB) is requiring the public to wear surgical masks, measure their body temperature, disinfect their hands and register their full names and telephone numbers when entering LTB to ensure adequate risk management. Logistics, delivery or postal personnel must deliver their goods to the Goods Delivery Area to minimize the risk of infection.
LTB explained that the Taichung City Government has issued the Regulations in Response to COVID-19 Outbreak on March 13 for various activities as well as visitation, business, logistics, meetings and dining carried out within the city government and its subsidiaries. In other words, visitors or business visitors must register their full names and wear surgical masks at all times, while logistics, delivery or postal personnel may only drop off their items on the 1st floor, therefore the LTB will comply with the said regulations.
LTB reminds the public to make use of online applications and telephone consultations; by avoiding visiting public places, people can protect their health and that of the others. Additionally, employees must have their body temperature taken daily and disinfect their hands with rubbing alcohol; frontline employees are required to wear surgical masks and implement self-health management.
If the public has any questions, please dial the toll-free service number 0800-000321 or (04) 22585000#1 for the telephone customer service center, and our staff will be glad to assist you.
