(Taichung News) According to Local Tax Bureau, Taichung City Government, the 2019 house tax season begins on May 1 and ends on May 31, all taxpayers are reminded to file their taxes before the deadline to prevent incurring overdue charges. This year's house tax deposit warrants will be mailed by Chunghwa Post starting from April 25, taxpayers who have not yet received the deposit warrant or have lost it, please apply for re-issuance via telephone, fax, online, or the various offices of the bureau in order to file their taxes.

The Local Tax Bureau explained that in the past many people have neglected to report their change of address to the bureau, as a result, they could not receive the deposit warrant and failed to file their taxes in time. The bureau reminded taxpayers to apply for a change of address at various offices of the bureau in order to protect their rights. Furthermore, in supporting environmental protection, taxpayers may use their citizen digital certificate or registered national health insurance card to check their tax filing status or file their taxes on the local tax filing system, there is no need to print out the hard copy of the deposit warrant. Alternatively, taxpayers may submit their deposit warrant, remittance notice, or payment certificate electronically. Once the application is successful, it can be used every year!
