(Taichung News) According to Local Tax Bureau, Taichung City Government, the house taxpayer should apply for the cancellation of house tax from the Local Tax Bureau within 30 days of demolition.

There have been incidences where the house taxpayer failed to apply for the cancellation of house tax from the Local Tax Bureau in time, and only submitted the application after they have received house tax statement. The bureau reminds taxpayers to apply for the cancellation of house tax after demolition is completed; upon verification by the tax authorities, the house tax collection will be terminated and the house tax registration will be canceled starting from the month in which the application is made. In order to protect your rights, please remember to file the application if your house has been demolished.
