(Taichung) According to Local Tax Bureau, Taichung City Government, land tax for 2017 will be collected in November, and it is payable from November 1 to 30. On August 31, the taxpayers of land tax refer to the landowner or dien-holder documented in the land register of the agency in charge of land administration. At the same time, land tax for all land lots within the same direct-controlled municipalities or other municipalities will be consolidated and levies. In other words, if you own more than 2 land lots in the same municipality, you will only receive one land tax bill.
The bureau reminds taxpayers that if the tax bill has not been received or if it has been misplaced during the land tax period, they may apply for reissuance from respective bureaus and may payment before November 30 to prevent incurring overdue charges.
