Local Tax Bureau of Taichung City Government encourages taxpayers to use their natural person certificates or industrial and commercial certificates to declare house tax and/or apply for its related services on the website of Local Tax Bureau at http://www.tax.taichung.gov.tw. The related services include the declaration of a new housing construction, the change in housing usage, application for Tax Statements and Proof of Duty Payment and assessment schedules. Declaration of house tax online is simple and convenient.

The Local Tax Bureau explains further that you can use your natural person certificate or industrial and commercial certificate to link to the website of Local Tax Bureau, click the "House Tax" button under the "Local Taxes Network" page, enter the account number and password of your natural person certificate or industrial and commercial certificate, and carry out the filing of house tax by keying in the required information, such as the location of your house, the type of certificate you are applying for, or the change in housing usage, and so forth. You then save and send the file. That is all you have to do. Moreover, you can always use your natural person certificate or industrial and commercial certificate to enquire the current status of your case or print out your assessment schedules, Tax Statements and Proof of Duty Payment. You can do all the things at home and at any time 24 hours a day without going out.
