To take care of the disadvantaged, reduce urban-rural gap, and extend service locations to reduce the travel burden of people, the Local Tax Bureau of Taichung City Government has recently set up the Tax Services Video Center at the Lishan Village Office in Heping District. The Center provides more than 65 service items, including online application for replacement copies of tax statements and certificates. Residents at Lishan Village are welcomed to make use of the service.

Local Tax Bureau said that residents of Pinden Village, the most remote area in Taichung, can also handle their tax issues at the Tax Services Video Center at the Lishan Village Office through the Internet now, instead of spending 1 to 2 days traveling to Dongshih Branch of Local Tax Bureau. Services offered by the Tax Services Video Center include verification and issuance of house tax registration certificates; issuance of replacement copies for land value tax, property tax, vehicle license tax; certificates to prove payment of taxes; and tax schedules. Taxpayers can also apply for disability license-tax exemption, low-income house-tax exemption, and other tax services.
